In the first 10 months of 2019, China's steel import volume is close to 9.8 million tons

According to the data of the General Administration of Customs of China, in October 2019, China's steel import volume was 1.025 million tons, a decrease of 88000 tons on a month on month basis, a decrease of 7.9%, a decrease of 113000 tons on a year-on-year basis, a decrease of 9.9%. Cumulatively, from January to October 2019, China's steel imports reached 9.779 million tons, down 11.9% year on year.

In terms of import amount, in October 2019, China's steel import amount was US $1.14 billion (US $1137.05 million), a decrease of US $0.8 billion on a month on month basis, a decrease of 6.6%, a decrease of US $0.2 billion on a year-on-year basis, a decrease of 14.9%; in October 2019, China's average steel import price was US $11.0393 million /ten thousand ton, an increase of US $2990 / ten thousand ton compared with September. In cumulative terms, from January to October 2019, China's steel imports reached US $11528.2 million, down 17% year on year, with an average import price of US $11.7876 million / ten thousand ton.
